Foursquare Allows Interaction With Non-Friends

People can now like your check-in on Foursquare, even if they aren’t friends with you on the location based social network.

For example, if you choose to share your check-in with followers on your Twitter or with friends on Facebook, someone who uses Foursquare but who isn’t a friend on the platform will be able to click through and interact with your post.

Foursquare said in a blog post that “when you share your #braggybrag check-ins with friends on Twitter or Facebook who are on Foursquare, they’ll be able to like them, even if they’re not your Foursquare friends.”

“We’ll even send you a notification so you know how awesome you are (you can turn them off in your settings).”

These notifications can be turned off by heading to your notification settings and at about half way down the page there will be an option to turn email and text notifications on and off.

This small update from Foursquare hopes for more engagement from users with every check-in that is made.

What do you think of non users being able to like Foursquare check-ins?
